Donations of money to charities Donations of products to social aid organizations Food waste recovery policy Offering remaining production to entities dedicated to social assistance Forwarding of unsold production to operators selling products with a shortened shelf life. In 2025, and in recent years, monetary donations have been primarily directed to the Portuguese Federation of Food Banks against Hunger in Portugal and Caritas in Angola. In-kind donations have been allocated to various institutions, such as, in Portugal, several PSP police stations and GNR and Fire Department barracks, sports clubs (such as Sport Club Cumieira and Sport Club Lamego), and various educational associations (such as Best - Board of European Students of Technology); and in Spain, SCI Madrid and the “La Marató TV3” Foundation. The food surpluses destined for donation were sent to Refood, to Coração da Cidade and also, in the autonomous regions of Madeira and the Azores, to local social aid institutions, namely delegations of the Food Bank against hunger. Most of the surpluses for donation originate from the Catering business.
