NON-FINANCIAL STATEMENT Analysis of Double Materiality for topic E1 – Climate Change [DR ESRS E1.IRO-1] To assess the impacts on climate change, the Sustainability team calculated the Group’s carbon footprint, in accordance with the guidelines of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHP). In particular, to determine the sources of greenhouse gases (GHG) in its own operations and value chain, the list of activities that are conceptually included in each scope of emissions analysis (scopes 1, 2 and 3) was followed. In the climate risk assessment, the guidelines of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) were considered, and in particular the concepts of physical risks and transition risks and opportunities were followed. For the assessment of physical climate risks, the classification of negative physical climate events of the European Commission Delegated Regulation 2021/2139 was considered. For the analysis of transition climate risks and opportunities, the examples of climate transition events from the TCFD, also summarized in AR 12 of ESRS E1, were taken as a reference. Physical climate events and transition events were considered for the short, medium, and long term, and the business assets and activities exposed to these events were evaluated, taking into account the probability, magnitude, and duration of the events, as well as the geolocation of the assets and activities for exposure to physical events. As with the other topics, the analysis of climate risks and opportunities was carried out for the company’s own operations and for the upstream and downstream value chain, and for the short, medium, and long 134
