The sustainability path travelled by Ibersol has devel-
oped as time goes by, in a natural way, starting as an
internal management vision of the social and environ-
mental impact, and grown to a systematic embracing
of sustainability in the strategy and modus operandi
of the Company, with a corresponding impact on the
social, economic and environmental vectors.
Social Responsibility is looked at by the Ibersol Group as
a transversal mission, fulfilled through actions focused in
visible results, sense of cooperationwith the community
and training for sustainability of the employees, thus
reinforcing confidence amongst the interested parties.
The 8th Issue of the Sustainability Report currently pub-
lished, although showing a similar structure to the previ-
ous issues bymatching each vector toa separate chapter,
also aims to highlight a few landmarks achieved in 2014.
First and foremost comes the consolidation of the pro-
ject in Angola, a country where Ibersol is already explor-
ing five KFC restaurants andwhere the role of the Group
goes beyond the quantitative and financial aspects
of the Business. In fact, the most relevant outcome of
the Company’s performance in Angola in shown in the
transposition of high level quality standards to a com-
munity context as defiant as the one experienced in this
country. The evidence of the success achieved in this
area is the certification of the Company’s Units with the
standard NP EN ISO 22000:2005 (Food Safety Manage-
ment Systems), together with its Logistics Operator at
Viana’s Industrial Pole. Simultaneously, we point out
the prominence of Ibersol in the foodservice market in
Angola, particularly through its role as a local employer –
by the end of 2014, KFC units in Angola employed approx.
300 employees, whose training in Operational, Food
Safety and Occupational Health standards, amongst
others, have pushed up the level of the service provided.
In Portugal, the work and rigour devoted by the Ibersol
teams in the areas of Quality, Environment andOccupa-
tional Safety and Health, were also acknowledged with
the important certifications conferred by the standards
NP EN ISO9001:2008 (QualityManagement Systems), NP
EN ISO14001:2004 (Environment Management Systems)
andOHSAS 18001:2007 (Occupational Safety andHealth
Management Systems) regarding the management of
the foodservice operations of the Group, as well as the
