IBERSOL | Annual Report 2020

ANNUAL REPORT 2020 During lockdown periods restaurants were limited to providing delivery, take-away and drive-thru services. This was followed by a gradual recov- ery after the end of the second quarter, directly related to the gradual softening of restrictions on movement and the reopening of shopping centres. The beginning of the second wave of the pandemic in Portugal, in Octo- ber, followed by the imposition of new restrictions on mobility and open- ing hours of trade on weekends, led to a reversal of the recovery that had taken place on the third quarter. Drops in sales in Spain were more abrupt and losses in the second semes- ter exceeded 55%, due to the relative weight of the “Travel” segment in the group’s operations in this country, and consequently a smaller number of restaurants equipped with drive-thru, and more dependent on tourism. As at 31 December, approximately 24% of stores remained closed and forecasts point to a slower recovery. jan feb mar apr may jun jul aug sept oct nov dec -37,6% Monthly sales evolution by region vs 2019 PORTUGAL ANGOLA (AKZ) SPAIN 60,0% 40,0% 20,0% 0,0% -20,0% -40,0% -60,0% -80,0% -100,0% -9,8% -3,1% 6,0% -7,8% -2,1% 8,7% -3,0% -10,6% 19,9% -42,8% -66,2% -50,4% -41,4% -29,2% -21,5% -21,8% -14,8% -33,4% -29,1% -58,6% -98,9% -85,6% -75,1% -61,2% -58,6% -58,7% -57,3% -61,9% -55,7% 23
